Your glasses count
your calories.

Magical works with smart glasses, starting with Ray-Ban Meta. It notices when you start eating, sees what's on your plate and logs the meal. No photos, no searching, no typing.

Manual tracking doesn't work.

Every calorie app, even the AI ones, still needs you to stop, take out your phone and log. So meals get missed and the habit dies.

Meals logged, week 1 to week 6

You forget.

Logging is a chore after every bite, and nobody keeps it up for long. The log quietly empties out.

You guess.

Thousands of near-identical entries and a portion size you eyeball. None of them is actually your plate.

You skip the small stuff.

The bites you'd never open an app for add up fastest, and they're exactly the ones that go missing.

47%

In a New England Journal of Medicine study, people who said they couldn't lose weight under-reported what they ate by 47%. Not lying. Just human.

Lichtman et al., "Discrepancy between self-reported and actual caloric intake and exercise in obese subjects," NEJM, 1992.

How Magical works

You eat. Your glasses and Magical take care of the rest.

  1. Pair your Ray-Ban Meta with Magical once. After that it runs in the background whenever you have them on.

  2. Motion sensors in the frames recognise the rhythm of eating. There's no button to press and no meal to start.

  3. The camera captures a few seconds of the meal, only while you're eating, and Magical estimates every item on it.

  4. Calories and macros land in the Magical app. Your phone never left your pocket.

Why choose Magical?

The first calorie tracker that doesn't need you to remember it.

Zero effort, every meal

No searching, scanning or snapping photos. You eat, and the meal is logged.

Catches every bite

Snacks, bites off a friend's plate, dinner out. If you ate it, it's in your log.

Only looks when you eat

The camera is triggered by eating, not left running. A few seconds per meal, that's it.

Frequently asked questions

Which glasses does Magical work with?

Magical is built for smart glasses. We're starting with Ray-Ban Meta, connected through Meta's official wearables platform, and more smart glasses will follow. You'll also need an iPhone.

Is the camera recording all the time?

No. Magical uses the glasses' motion sensors to tell when you're eating. Only then does it capture a few seconds of your meal to estimate what's on the plate.

Do I have to take my phone out?

No, that's the point. Detection, capture and logging all happen with your phone in your pocket. Open the app whenever you want to see your day.

How accurate are the calorie estimates?

Magical identifies each item on your plate and estimates its portion and calories with AI. Like any photo-based tracker it's an estimate, but it logs the meals you'd otherwise forget, which is where most tracking goes wrong.

What happens when I pre-order?

You reserve a founding spot and get early access the day Magical ships, at the founding price. Change your mind before then and we'll refund you in full.

Does it work on Android?

Not yet. Magical is iPhone-only at launch.
